Bankrupt über sich

We’re Bankrupt from Budapest, Hungary. We’ve been around for 18 years.
We have a background in melodic punk rock, but over the years our sound has evolved into a sonic smorgasbord featuring everything from Fifties surf
guitars to Eighties synths.
The two singles we released at the beginning of 2015, The Legend of Lee Marvin and Disco Apocalypse represent these two extremes. With the help of
renowned Hungarian producer Ambrus Tövisházi, we’ve managed to create bittersweet nostalgic sounds distinctly different from most of the music out
there these days.
Our discography is made up of three albums (Listen – 2000, Bad Hair Day –
2004, Shorter Than Danny DeVito- 2006), 4 EPs (Rocket To Riot City – 2008,
Razor Wires And Neon Lights – 2009, Rewound – 2011, Goodbye Blue
Monday – 2013), and a single (War and Peace – 2014). We’ve received tons of
good reviews from around the world and our songs got spins at radio stations
from Germany to Alaska. We have worldwide digital distribution via iTunes,
Amazon, eMusic, and BandCamp, but we also offer free downloads.
We have played about 400 gigs so far in 9 countries (Hungary, Austria,
Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Slovakia),
including several festivals.

18 now
Perfekt gespielter Punk bzw. Postpunk. Fuzz gitarre, Pressgesang, alles da. Das neue Album ist sogar in punkiger Kürze (keine 22 Minuten), 18 now endet ja sehr abrupt. Man könnte "Mainstreampunk" ätzen.
