sonic:mph

Zitat: "sonic:mph is an electronic music production team comprised of Dutchman Peter Boonstra & Mick Monk, originating from Manchester, England. The pair met in the summer of 2007 in Amsterdam and after realising each other’s passion for music, and aspirations to produce some of their own, decided to test their musical chemistry out in rented studio spaces in the City.


After just a few Saturday afternoons of this, their feelings were mutual - they wanted to take a more serious approach, and consequently decided to invest in their own permanent Studio space in Jan 08.


EM9o7 was born, sonic:mph was re-born.


After months of investing all of each others spare time into building EM9o7, music production kicked into action in full force resulting in a number of diverse tracks referencing Peter & Mick’s many influences. The sonic:mph style was developing around their very ears.


Despite Mick re-locating to NYC in 2009, the pair were determined for this separation to be a challenge rather than an obstacle in terms of writing tracks for their first full-length release. It was a challenge they met with enthusiasm and dedication, resulting in the digital release (via iTunes) in Jan 2010 of the first sonic:mph album"
